Serving those in need is love at its very best.

When Tiffany Silva moved to Smith Mountain Lake, she didn’t just fall in love with the lake. She fell in love with the people. And when the pandemic hit, she quickly realized parts of her community were in dire need. Even though she was uncertain about her own future, she put the community’s needs first and created The Landing Love Project to support, feed and show love for at-risk families and seniors. Her feeling was, if she was going to go out, she would go out while helping others.

Call it Karma, but The Landing not only survived, it’s thriving. And the Landing Love Project has now served well over 100,000 meals.

Recently, Tiffany’s efforts were recognized by the Smith Mountain Lake Chamber of Commerce with the award for Community Leader(s) of the Year. She also received the 2022 Spirit of the Lake Award from the Smith Mountain Lake Association for personifying the goodness and quality of lake living.

Tiffany gratefully shares these awards with her amazing staff, dedicated volunteers and generous donors who make all the love possible.
